About me

My name is John Colin Mayer and I am an amateur photographer.

I was born in Glasgow, Scotland and migrated to Australia in 1999. I have been taking photos for many years and started taking full frame digital photographs in 2015. My preferred genres are is landscapes or seascapes, but I will give most things a try as I hope you will see when looking at the pages of my web site.

I shoot both digital and 35mm film in both colour and monochrome. Please don’t ask what camera and lens combinations I use. That would be like really enjoying a meal and congratulating the chef on the choice of saucepan used!
